Our computor recently said that i needed a vital program to continuing running. It was XP Antivirus 2008. It keeps popping up when im doing something and makes me look at it. It really effects Gunz bad. So I need to get rid of it but I cant find it. Its not on the processes at the bottom right hand of the Computor, its not under the start bar or under control panel under add/remove programs. XP Anti-virus is a virus , Remember, if something needs to bother you to dl it, then it's most likely not good.
Here is a site XP Antivirus 2008 Removal Instructions (XP Antivirus 2008) - MS Windows Vista Compatible Software
Basically it tells you what files to remove and stuff.

I would recommend getting a free reliable anti-virus program that I can use:
1.) AVG
or
2.) Avira Free Antivirus
Good luck in the future.

i'd stick to a "dead" trend micro AV
leave it off until you get hit by a vir
then boot in safemode and perform a clean
this way i get to keep my system resources when i use the PC for other stuff
