Might want to check your internet connection. Looks for some reason your internet connection isnt sending important info to and from the server.

Check your firewall and router settings. Also , try updating PunkBuster manually.

first i had some trouble with punkbuster then i finally got it working but i dun know how :P. and then it stopped working. then i reinstalled it in english (had it installed in swedish before) and that fixed it, try reinstalling it might fix it

Err, I need help with mine too, except it's not a private server it's original. Anyway the problem is, first when I first bought Battlefield 2142, I installed it and it worked perfectly, I got bored of it and uninstalled it and didn't play for awhile... now when I install it and try to open the program and play, the screen goes plain black for 7-10 seconds then it disappeared.
I've checked my firewall settings too...
