Well, you certainly have a knack for stating the obvious. How was anybody to know for sure he would not close Microsoft? It's his decision, he could choose any option. Stop flaming and just discuss this calmly.

Quite honestly, Bill plays a small role in the company. His biggest role is the face that people associate with Microsoft. In a company that employs tens of thousands of people, 1 person cant do much, and no, he cant close down the company if he wanted to. That is up to the CEO, and Bill stepped down that position a few years back to focus on programming. As far as his money goes, Bill has in his will already that aprox. 99.2% goes to his charity while his children get the rest. Its estimated that his children will recieve about 1 million each.

this is REAL and i heard hes not quiting or ne thing just taking a break or sumthing and if he is theres ceos and stuff to make it and crap and.. i think hes a selfish *** he doesnt even give ne to the poor or sumthing and how can he go from 100 billion dollars to 55 billion dollars that shows how much rich people are greedy ******s lol sry for my french ne ways he could live off 1bill and give the rest away but no he has to have 4023050 gajillion dollars to himself what a ass hole lol i dont think i have a point here LOL del this if this is stupid btw

Actually no, the main reason why he "quits" is that he becomes a full-time sponsership with some organisations that i forgot their names~

your wrong he donated alot of money to charity i think it was 3/4 of his money i forgot but he donated alot.
