Hey, you guys, can you look at this script and also look at my explanations and questions about it? And do you guys use Olly to begin writing such scripts?

What the hell is a CEM hack ? Why don't you explain to him how that script bypasses the CRC ?

it's a maplestory crc bypass script. load binary repe's the cem's bytes to the allocated "dump" region.

The script itself compares the address that maplestory's internal crc is currently monitoring (it is stored in ecx) and sees whether or not it is within the range of 0x400000 to 0x780000, if the crc is currently monitoring an address within that range, then the script points ecx to that same address but in the dumped memory region. Basically what you are doing is pointing the game to a "clean" version which has not been modified, enabling you to modify the original memory without detection.

Of course this no longer works by itself because MS now has a GGCRC and without a bypass for GGCRC you can't use the MSCRC bypass.

p.s. "ret:" is just a label that you placed underneath the crc address. It's just to tell the script in the "original code" part to jump below 465268.

Ah, yes, I've read somewhere about GG CRC for Maple. I read that if you changed gamecrc=0 -> gamecrc=2, then it'd bypass GG CRC. The author sounded so compelling that I, quite ignorant, was like, "man, nicely done, good job." When I continued reading, the pro? hackers were flaming him for being a noob with a worthless method.

Does Rakion have a GG CRC bypass? I was trying to mod this CRC to work with Rakion.

Rakion has a GG CRC and only myself, vandrick, and joel have a bypass for it.

This script will never work for Rakion btw.
