What is Brute Force cracking?Brute Force cracking is an automated process used to guess a person's information, it can be used for many things such as passwords, usernames, cc info, etc; it uses trial and error to retrieve this information.

Now that you understand what it is, I'll throw out the obvious. -- What can I do with this? Obviouslly hack passwords or accounts for games, etc.

Where do I download? You can download Brutus AET2 .-here-.

You should also consider using a word list with Brutus as well, it'll help obtain the information you're seeking. You can download the word list .-here-.

What do I do with the word list once I've downloaded it? Extract it to your desktop and follow my steps listed below.


Steps on how to use Brutus:
Step1. Open Brutus.

Step2. You'll find an option that says, "Type," click that and upon doing so choose the setting "HTTP(Form)"

Step3. Upon choosing "HTTP(Form)," you should see an Options area, click on modify sequence. Now you'll type out the forums for the game, or any number of things within the "Target form" region.

Step4. You'll now click, "Learn from settings." You should see a new box come up, inside the white box in the middle you should see, "field name," and "Field value," scroll down and choose the correct settings for the type of forums or whatever you're at, webpage, etc.

Step5. Setup the responses, you should find many different options that require common sense to setup, check the webpages different responses and put them in there.

Step6. Now you'll go to the "Authentication Options," this is where the user file will be. You'll put the username you want to find the password for in here. Now you should go to the passfile and click "browse," click on "desktop," and then find the word list folder.

Step7. The password option(don't use passfile) is recommended, it may take a while though, click the drop down option, click "brute force." Now click "range," a box should open. Put on the option, "Custom," and take out whatever is there, now you'll put in, "abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz1234567890," and on the two scrolldown options you'll put "6" in the first and "10" on the second.

Make sure you setup the other options correctly, I didn't state a few things because they really only require common sense, mainly everything does, hope what I put helps you enough, if you have questions respond in this thread, happy password cracking! Just so you know, this may take a while.

Another thing you need to make sure you do, don't use the proxy option.

I don't think this should be posted for several reasons, for one this is the wrong place, i'm pretty sure this is warz, and for two I think this is section to talk about cracking not posting programs you didn't make.

This isn't Warez, and it is technically cracking. This is simply a tutorial on how to use, not to mention I don't think anyone would use on these type of forums to get an account password, it'd take quite a while to begin with, this is just for learning purposes.

Perhaps from what I've put, GzN will update their security features, such as having case sensitive passwords and account login names that are different from the display names.

Lol I was in the midst of making a brute forcer... I'll try this one and see if this is faster than the one I'm currently making. (Have everything done except the actual cracking of multiple characters.)

This doesnt have to do a lot with this but how do you hack into a game account? For Silkroad online. Its like rakion, you log in with a user name and and character name is different. Lots of people are getting hacked somehow and i want to be able to hack someone.

Can someone scan this themselves to show if there are any potentially harmful viruses?

I don't trust any file or program that allows me to guess a password that might as well just guess my own password while it's at it.

If someone will scan this for us, it'll take a load off my mind.

*P.S. I'm sure hundreds of hackers at the moment are trying to crack RoyalChief's password. XP*
