Character creation
As soon as you log in for the first time you will see a video. After that there will be your "character" standing in the middle of the screen; here you get to chose your name, appearance but most importantly your stats. You have 5 stats to distribute among the 3 categories. Close - Strength affects close damage greatly, dex affects close hit consistency alittle bit. Ranged - Dex affects range consistency greatly, strength affects damage a bit. Magic - Intelligence affects damage greatly, dex affects consistency a bit.
rom here on it is entirely your choice. However, it is good to put 1 or 2 stats into your main affecting skill and 3 or 4 into the skill that wont be used if you are a pure character. And if you are a hybrid either do a 3, 2 split the first being your main skill, or all 5 into the main skill.
Essential menus
At the bottom - right corner of your screen there are 4 very important buttons. The first one that looks like a small person is the character button, this will give ALL of the information on your character.
the 2nd button is your inventory which of course opens the inventory

. The third button is the skills button. This button allows you to put in your skills and use commands (more on this button in the later sections). And the 4th and final button is the system button. This one allows you to chose your sound options, help screen, and lets you quit the game.

Training
Introduction
Before you fully venture into DEICIDE there is still one more very important question. What class to pick and who to be? In total there are 16 classes in DEICIDE which can be seen at
DEICIDE - The War against Evil . 4 of the are so called Pura classes all the rest are hybrids. Pure classes concentrate and use only one out oof the 4 availbale skills. Hybrids are classes that use a combination of 2 skills. What class to chose is entierly up to you but There are a few important points. Pure classes only use one skill so they are way stronger than hybrids at the start. They can use higher level skills faster getting more money and levels. However, hybrids also have advantages; Hybrids have access to 2 skill branches. The higher the level the stronger they become. Since hybrids develop 2 branches they have better stats in the end.
What to hunt - Pure
Level 1-13 - Beholders, Carnival Rats, Hatchlings
Level 13-20 - Zombie dogs, Evil Dogs,
Level 20-29 - Goblin, Goblin Lancer
Level 29-39 - King Beholder, Orc, Orc Archer
Level 39+ - Hobgoblin, Zombie
Thats as far as I got.
What to hunt - Hybrid
This will only be helpful if you are doing a char split so not a true char that requires 25 of something but a 15, 10 combo.
1) Level the skill that you need 15 for once. (you are level 1)
2) Then train your main skill until u are almost leveled and switch to secondary skill and do same with that.
3) Level the main skill, level the secondary skill (you are level 3)
4) Repeat the proccess until your secondary reaches 10
5) Level your main skill to 15
Since the hardness to kill is based on total level this should save you some time and let you level faster.
Level 1-13 - Beholders, Carnival Rats, Hatchlings
Level 13-21 - Zombie dogs, Evil Dogs,
Level 21-29 - Goblin, Goblin Lancer
Level 29+ - King Beholder, Orc, Orc Archer
Thats as far as I got.
Ranks
You may have noticed that some items have a rank on them, this is sort of a level requirement. To use rank 2 you have to be level 30, and each rank higher is 30 levels plus.
Enchant
When you hunt you will sometimes get items called enchant cards. These cards allow you to enchant a weapon and improve its abilities. You can enchant a weapon 5 times with no chance of failure and armor 3 times. After you have to pick between 2 cards giving you a 50/50 chance to succed.

1. Foreword
Hello my name is Kotoko and I will be sharing my experiences of Deicide. This guide is based off of extensive playtesting with close, range, and magic attack characters and is written to teach a person playing Deicide for the first time. Included are proper hunting areas for levels 0-30 and many tips to be successful in the game. Enjoy!
2. Introduction
When first starting the game, you will be asked to log-in, and afterwards you will be brought to the character creation screen. As of now there are 4 pure classes, with each class being able to mix with another, bringing a total of 16 (these are known as "hybrids"). What you want to be is up to you, as I have created my leveling guide to be as most fitting as possible to any class.
Upon first entering the Deicide game world, you will be in the town Vail. Run around to be acquainted with the location of the blacksmith (there are 2, one is for armor and the other is for weapons), shopkeeper, warehouse, and the outside hunting area. Afterwards, go ahead and head out.
3. Leveling
First, if you are going warrior, use on the hotkey that shows the sword. This will raise your close-attack level. If you are going archer, use on the hotkey that shows the bow. This will raise your range-attack level. If you are going wizard, use the fire spell. If you are going cleric, use the lighting spell. I will give detail on how to be a hybrid character later.
Levels 0-7:
BeholderCarnival Rat Hatchling
The only thing to worry from these monsters are the Hatchlings. Not only are they aggressive, but they cast a fire spell within a certain range. It is best to take them out once they are within your area.
As you are killing monsters and leveling, you will find Shild (Deicide's currency term) and maybe even equipment that you may use or sell.
Tip for hybrid players! If you wish to go hybrid, it is best to first level the physical skill first, then level your magic skill. This is important because it is much, much better for survival. If you level your magic skill first then go back to leveling your physical skill, you will be too weak to fight against monsters in close range. For example, if you wish to be a shadow knight, level your close-attack skill to 15, then level your dark magic skill to 10.
Once you turn level 7, go back to Vail and head to the blacksmith. Get the best weapon and armor possible with your money. Magic users can also head to the shopkeeper lady and buy the next magic scroll at level 5. Be sure to buy the one appropriate to your class!
Levels 7-12:
Zombie DogEvil Dog
Evil dogs are the ones to watch here. Aggressive, with almost 30 more hit points and greater attack than the weaker zombie dogs. Stay alert when you are gaining exp here!
Once you turn level 12, head to town and buy equipment if needed. Magic users can also head back to Vail at level 10 to buy the next magic scroll.
Levels 12-15:
GoblinGoblin Lancer
There are many Goblins here, with few Goblin Lancers scattered across the map. Only the Lancers are aggressive, so you can attack Goblins with ease.
When you turn level 15, you may buy the next magic scroll from the appropriate shopkeeper.
Levels 15-20:
King BholderOrc Orc Archer
While the King Bholders are aggressive, they shouldn't be a threat due to their slow movement. On the other hand, be careful of Orc Archers! They are ranged and are very powerful.
Orcs and Orc Archers drop nice items! It is not surprising to find an item that sells for 8,000-12,000 Shilds.
When you turn level 20, buy the next magic scroll and proceed to the area with Hobgoblins.
Levels 20-25:
HobgoblinZombie Werewolf
From this point on, things will get a little tougher. Be sure to buy plenty of red potions, especially when fighting Werewolfs!
When you turn level 25, you may change to the next class. In order to do so, you will have to find the correct class change item, which you may get through monsters or by trading with other people.
Levels 25-30:
SkeletonStone Golem Skeleton LancerSkeleton Leader
Be careful with the Skeleton Leaders! Supply yourself with red potions! And if you are not a magic attack character, buy some blue potions to help with mana point recovery.
When you turn level 30, buy the next magic scroll. Also, you may now wear rank 2 items, so be sure to stop by the blacksmith and buy better equipment. Equipment is essential in the world of Deicide.
4. Tips
1. Kiting- If you are a ranged attack character (archer or magic), you may use a technique known as kiting. Upon attacking the enemy, move back, then attack again. Repeat the process until the enemy is dead. By doing so, you will lower the amount of times you will get hit from the enemy.
2. Enchant cards- As you hunt through the game you will find weapon and armor enchant cards. They are very important, as they increase the attack for your weapon and defense for your armor. You may freely, without risk, enchant a weapon 5 times and an armor 3 times. From then on however, you will have to choose between two cards on the screen. One is success, and the other is failure. The following chances may occur on failure:
Weapon
6 ~ 10 - no change/-1/-2/weapon disappears
11 ~ 20 - weapon disappears
Armor
4 ~ 8 - no change/-1/-2/armor disappears
9 ~ 20 - armor disappears
3. Horses - Although very expensive, horses are very fast and provide quick travel over long distances. Plus, you look very cool with them. The following horses are available:
Brown horse - 1,000,000 Shild
Black horse - 3,000,000 Shild (level 50 requirement)
White horse - 7,00,000 Shild (level 75 requirement)
Ok I just wanted to post this as I see so many people hunting mobs that are not really right for them and do not help them level fast.
Quantity over Quality: This is real simple and I will break it down for you. Consider that if you are fighting lets say a Monster that brings 175 XP and takes 6 hits on the average to kill. You are receiving 29.17 XP per hit. Now, if you fight a monster that gives 100 Xp per kill and takes 3 hits on the average to kill that gives you 33.33 Xp per kill. Obviously, you are getting 4.16 Xp per kill more. It may not seem like alot but it adds up fast. After 100 monters you have just received around 416 points more. They are some examples where this ratio is greater but I just used these numbers for an easy to understand example.
Also, most of the time this is more cost effecient in many ways as well as increasing your overall XP gain. For one thing the monsters that are easy to kill usually deal less damage and therefore cost you less in HP/Mana Pots or time in regenning. And if you are spending less on supplies to hunt with the horrible drops these days it can make a huge difference on what gear you can afford. In Addtiton to lowering your cost in hunting you are killing more monsters and increasing you chances of receiving a Weapon/Armor Card drop which is the one of the most common low level big money drops. Also, you are less likely to get killed and loose valuable XP.
Well that is my theory on levelling and using this theory I decided to start a Wizard, Dark Mage, yesterday and gained about 17 levels in a few hours hunting solo. Of course, she had all the best Rank 1 gear and that makes a big difference. I still believe that even without all the best gear this is the way to go. Even at 42 I can go to Mohas and level almost as fast, if not faster, than hunting Golems in Neris. I kill Orcs in 2 hits on the average and Stone golems in 5 hits on the average....you do the math I am using a +5 Nightkiller.
A brief note: I just wrote this up real quick, and it is kind of messy, I need to fix it up a bit more, but for some reason I was having trouble writing it right now.. So, I'll just post it as is for now.. A few of the factors under stats are unconfirmed, but they should be fairly accurate..
Definitions:
Hybrid: a character with at least 1 level in more than one of the four classes..
Pure: a character with all levels in a single of the four classes..
Kiting: attacking then moving back, attacking then moving back, over and over on a monster until it dies...
Int(Intelligence: Raises mana +7 for each point, also increases magic damage, and Res(resistance) or magic defense.
Dex(Dexterity): Raises +3 Health and +3 mana for each point, also increases accuracy (chance of landing hit), and makes magic spells closer to their actual damage.
Str(Strength): Raises +7 Health for each point, increases physical damage, and physical def(defense), also raises how much weight you can hold.
Primary when refferring to Class: The class which you have the highest level in.
Primary when refferring to Stat: The stat that goes up the highest depending on the class you use.
Secondary when refferring to class: The class(es) that are below your primary classes level.
Secondary when refferring to Stat: The stat(s) that go up slightly but not as much as the primary for the class you use.
Basic Class-Stat Information:
Leveling up Close Attack raises Str(Primary), and Dex(Secondary).
Leveling up Ranged raises Dex(Primary), Int(Secondary), and Str(Secondary).
Leveling up Dark Magic raises Int(Primary), Dex(Secondary).
Leveling up White Magic raises Int(Primary), Dex(Secondary).
The very first thing you should understand about the classes is how flexible they are...
There are 5 different sets of level information you will see in-game, Total Level, Dark Magic, White Magic, Close Attack, and Ranged.
Total Level = Dark Magic Level + White Magic Level + Ranged Level + Close Attack Level
The max Total Level possible is 400, meaning you get a total of 400 levels which you can level up in any of the four classes, however, once you have reached Total Level 400 is it not possible to get any higher in any of the four classes...
For (Example .1) Total Level 400 = 115 Dark Magic + 115 White Magic + 85 Ranged + 85 Close Attack, IS POSSIBLE.
Most people think of Hybrids, as one of the pre-built on-site classes, listed on the Class section of the site, Warrior, Bandit, Shadow Knight, Paladin, Assassin, Archer, Poacher, Ranger, Blade Mage, Shaman, Wanderer, Wizard, Monk, Hawk, Cleric, Druid.
However, that is not right...The above are ONLY combinations of levels in 2 different classes, and also the names above, are ONLY TITLES. The way to gain the Title and Skill that is associated the name of the Hybrid is to find the skill scroll for the associated name and use it like any normal skill scroll.
IT IS POSSIBLE TO USE MORE THAN ONE ADVANCED SKILL DESPITE YOUR TITLE. Meaning even if your an Assassin, you can use Blessing Shield, the Paladin advanced skill, including other advanced skills for other titles...
Using (Example .1) above, it is possible to learn all the advanced skills, for every title, AND be able to use them...
The Title which is listed in your character information is given to you based on the advanced skill that is your primary class, or that you have used the 2nd advanced skill for, though 2nd advanced skills are not implemented yet so no information on those.. In the case above, even I would be clueless as to the actual title you would end up with...
Though keep in mind there ARE requirements for using advanced skills, mostly in what weapon you must have equipped for use... For example War Cry requires a 2-handed Close Attack weapon, while Stealth requires a 1-handed Close Attack Weapon... Sensetive, and Dust Skin require Staff...and etc...
The actual classes skills: the highest level required for Dark Magic and WHite Magic skills is 115, and the highest level required for Ranged and Close Attack skills is 90... Meaning if you got to 115 Dark Magic, 115 White Magic, 90 Ranged, and 80 Close Attack, which would still be Total Level 400 you could have all of the Advanced Skills, and all of the normal Skills for every class, except for 1 skill for Close Attack... Though it may sound good, it is not the best of ideas, mainly for the fact that level 400 is quite a ways off to plan for, but also because in a case like above you would not have a Primary Class....
The purpose of the Primary Class is to gain higher points into a single damage affecting Stat, for example if your primary class is Dark Magic, you gain higher Int, which means more damage with spells... Raising other secondary classes a certain ammount for the use of certain skills from them and advanced skills is a good idea, but it's best to keep in mind exactly how high you need to raise them for the skills you want.
(Examples
Total Level 400 = 400 Dark Magic, a pure class, all 400 levels of experience will be into Int, making your int higher than any hybrid with other skills could have, meaning your damage will be higher
Total Level 400 = 360 Dark Magic, 15 Close Attack, 15 White Magic, 10 Ranged, you will have Dark Magic as your primary class meaning extremely high int for more damage with spells, and at the same time you will be able to use the advanced skills that you meet the requirements for such as, Blessing Shield (15 Close, 10 White), Stealth (15 Close, 10 Range), and other nice advanced skills along with your high magic damage.
Total Level 400 = 300 Dark Magic, 15 Close Attack, 10 Ranged, 75 White Magic, you will still have Dark Magic as your primary class for high spell damage, and you will still have high enough levels in Secondary classes for the use of the advanced skills of your choice, except this way you also get, all the normal skills under the WHite Magic tree, such as the heals and shielding buffs that White Magic get...
Total Level 400 = 300 Close Attack, 15 Dark Magic, 10 Ranged, 75 White Magic, you will have highest Close Attack meaning you get the higher points in Str for higher Health and Defense, and also your primary class will be Close Attack allowing you to use the highest Def armor, along with that you have enough levels into secondary skills to learn many useful advanced skills, and enough levels into White Magic to use the heals and more Def buffs...
Final Note: when you create your character you should base it on exactly what you want to do with it, for example a primary class Dark Mage can use the most powerful of spells and in guild wars area of effect spells are nice, along with that if you use the templates right like said above you could use advanced skills such as Stealth, and Sensetive (cancels out others using Stealth).
Just remember, you have 400 levels to raise into whatever classes you want skills for, think wisely of the skills you want to use and could be beneficial to you using the weapons, armor, skills, ways of fighting, and other such things you prefer...
