not everyone who likes diablo, is into WoW, and vice versa. The gameplay is totally different, so they wouldn't loose that many players from WoW, just basically the players that got tired of d2, and switched to WoW just to wait for d3 to come out, and all the kids that just go with the latest fad, the ones that play the game just because everyone else is playing it.

anyway rumour or not i wud still b a diablo fan till the day they burn all existing copy of this game down. i mean seriously ever since the day of d1 been release thousands of fans have been playing this series till now (thats lyk 6-8yrs?).. so i wud expect for blizzard to continue their great masterpiece and live up to their great name

Well, the game was released on Nov 30, 1996. So the series has been around for almost 11 years.

some people still play it amazingly. it was a great game, very fun for me and good concept. i never even seen the game announced tho, may have made a big hit

Diablo 3 will surely come out but the only question is when?

When they will have made enough cash/expansion pack with WoW!

if they make a d3 they'll most likely make it pay to play but i am hoping they make one that is free.

Even if something went wrong and they didn't make D3, i would be one of the few who would play D2 till the day i die, i love it soo much, and i will never get tired of it. But i know for a fact they are making a D3, i was flipping through channels and i came to a show about video games and kept it on for a few minutes cause they mentioned diablo, and they said Diablo 3 is being worked on right now, so i can't wait till it's released, it's gunna be better than hellgate and mythos combined! (i hope).

They wouldn't make u pay for diablo.. that defeats the purpose of D1 and D2 being hosted on free servers.. they would loose players if they did that. I'll play diablo till the day I die like others have said they would but honestly.. D3 will be nuthing as complex as WoW.. so if they did make you pay for D3 they would loose money.. cause you can just play WoW if you gotta pay.. id bet the first year from the release date they'd make money because people would want to see just what D3 is like.. Theres a lot of people who don't like to pay to play a game.. Thats why Diablo is still quite populated game.

i agree with what you say, but i also think that they may infact charge somekind of fee, if they didnt, thed only waste money trying to produce/distribute the game. Now i wouldnt be surprised if they realeased it, they had a fee, but later dropped the fee cuz people dont want to pay to play, like i still play D2, if they charged money for it in the begining, i would of never started.

i dont agree with that, many people will play D2 for a long time, now you can't say a D3 isint being even thot about by blizzard, because your statement has no real source or information.
