Dunno if your interested but there was also a anime series released called "Final Fantasy Unlimited" I believe. I remember it started off slow and eventually picked up. It's rather old so the animation isn't great but if you can stand it the story is okay. Plus the gunman in it is like Vincent mixed with Auron so just that makes it worthwhile xD. You can find it at veoh and other sites I'm sure.
