This sort of thing always happened to the elite endgame guilds when I was playing Final Fantasy XI. Someone would share their account with a guildmate who "could be trusted" but sure enough in the end they'd always get screwed over and lose everything.
It's kind of funny to see that this applies to all games, pay or free. But if he was keylogged then har har.
