Hi, me again with yet ANOTHER thread about sound.xfs. This is the way to get rid of the Macro Talk sounds (Hi, Noob, Bye, etc.) and the Shot Effects (Nice Shot!, UNBELIEVABLE, etc.) Because a handful have people have asked to have an xfs with this stuff removed, im posting a tutorial just in case you don't want to get rid of both of these things, only one of them.
First you will need iXFS editor (search for it on google)
Open up your sound.xfs by clicking iXFS > Open XFS archive
Then when all the files pop up on the interface, here is what you do :
Finding/Deleting Macro Sounds :
Scroll through the files until you find "emoti_0f". If you want to delete it, click on it once then when its highlighted, click "Remove Files". This gets rid of the sound completely. Do this with every "emoti_#(Letter)" that you see to get rid of all of the sounds. And you are done. If you want to keep these sounds out of your xfs and want to leave the other sounds out, click finalize archive. If you want to keep going and delete everything, continue reading.
Finding/Deleting Sound Effects :
Same thing as macro sounds. Scroll through the files but this time find
"shot_fantastic.xes, shot_super.xes, shot_great.xes, and shot_unbelievable.xes". Delete them all the same way you deleted the Macro sounds. Click "Finalize Archive" and you are done. Log into GB and enjoy
~I have yet to learn how to change the sounds since they are an .xes file extention. I will post details if i figure it out.
