== What is 'Locust Plague'? ==
Locust Plague injects code into your existing GunZ process which causes you
to use an exploit on others that ultimately attempts to delete their
character. For more information, review the useages and 'FAQ' sections.
== Why release 'Locust Plague'? ==
MAIET, the company which owns GunZ, has failed to address several high-risk
exploits within GunZ. The intent of 'Locust Plague' is to get enough
people exploiting one of these risks, character deletion, so that MAIET is
more/less forced to take action. Also, it's kinda fun.
== How 'Locust Plague' operates ==
When you have launched 'Locust Plague' and enabled it, any players that
become listed on the `right` side of your chat area will be exploited. To
attack more targets, just scroll the player list up/down to have more names
become listed. This will only work on the six names listed in your current
chatroom, not with your Friends or Clan list.
== Launching 'Locust Plague' ==
1. Launch GunZ as normal. (You may use a 'runnable' if you wish.)
2. Log on, and get yourself inside any chatroom lobby. (ie, Free Channel 1)
3. Switch back to Windows, and execute 'Locust Plague v1.0.exe'
(A message should appear confirming the injection of code.)
4. Switch back to GunZ, and you're ready to go.
(You should see text in the lobby channel from 'Locust Plague' further
confirming it's successful code injection.)
== Using 'Locust Plague' ==
After you have successfully injected the 'Locust Plague' code into GunZ,
you have two options you can use.
1. Type "!insanity" into the chatroom to start the hack.
(You should receive a message in the chatroom confirming activity.)
2. Type "!sanity" into the chatroom to completely unload the hack.
(You should receive a message in the chatroom confirming unloading.)
NOTE: After using "!sanity" the hack is completely unloaded from your
GunZ process. If you wish to use the hack again, re-launch the
'Locust Plague v1.0.exe'.
Every time 'Locust Plague' attempts to delete a character, you will receieve
notification inside the chatroom window.
== FAQ ==
Q: This person just won't be deleted!
A: The person is probably a clan master. Clan masters cannot be deleted
until their clan is closed. If 'Locust Plague' comes across a clan
master, it starts the closing of that person's clan. However, you
will be unable to delete that character until thier clan is closed.
(You may want to take this to heart for protection.)
Also, the person may exist on the 'Locust Plague' protection list.
Q: Will 'Locust Plague' delete me?
A: Nope. Well, your copy won't. Someone else's might.
Q: Will 'Locust Plague' delete someone who is playing a game?
A: Yes. However, they can continue to play on their deleted character
until they log out or go to the Character Selection screen.
Q: How can I be sure the person was deleted?
A: A good sign someone has been deleted is they are no longer in their
clan. Also, you can go to the character creation screen and make a
character using their name since they no longer exist.
(Even if they were in a game, like the above FAQ question states).
Q: Will this work with K/JGunZ?
A: No. 'Locust Plague' v1.0 is made for 11-24-05 release of International
GunZ only.
Q: What happens on a target's screen?
A: They see a bunch of pop of messages. If they are in game, they can
close all of them and continue to play until log-out/character
selection. If they were in a chatroom, 90% of the time it instantly
boots them to the character creation screen.
Q: I deleted this dude, but he's still in game/in the chatroom.
A: GunZ server is whacky. If you delete someone with this exploit, it
doesn't always properly remove them from where they were. Their
'ghost' may exist for an undetermined amount of time.
== Troubleshooting ==
Q: 'Locust Plague' keeps failing to inject it's code into GunZ.
A: Make sure you have followed all the instructions in 'Launching Locust
Plague'. Also, you may be using an outdated version of 'Locust Plague'.
This user documention exists for version 1.0, which is designed only
for the 11-24-05 release of International GunZ.
Q: When I type !insanity, nobody gets deleted, but I see a confirmation
message.
A: When you enable the hack, you may have to scroll the player listing once
to get things flowing. Or, switch to your friends/clan list and back to
the current chatroom listing.
Q: When I type !insanity, GunZ crashs into a MAIET error.
A: I'm not entirely sure why this happens. I could find out, but I don't
care. Usually a workaround is to make sure you're not using a
'runnable' and waiting about a minute to launch 'Locust Plague v1.0.exe'
after you log-in. (Note: normally 'runnables' are fine to use.)
Q: Sometimes I get disconnected, or GunZ seems to lock-up.
A: Don't scroll the player listing so fast. Wait a couple seconds between
group deletions to ensure you don't flood the GunZ server.
== Who, what, where, when and why? Not to mention: how? ==
(Don't mind the third person speech here and there.
It helps get the point across better in certain questions.)
Warning: Some E-Drama included.
Q: Is HolyForce a hacker?
A: HolyForce and the hacker known as FunZ are both the same individual.
However, when under the name HolyForce there is no foul play at hand.
Nevertheless, that's an entirely different story when on as FunZ.
Q: You're full of ****. You hack.
A: Believe what you want as I do not care. Any experiences you had with
HolyForce in GunZ have been hack-free.
Q: Do any of your current or former clan mates hack?
A: Nope. In fact, a lot were shocked to find out I could.
Q: Alright, since you're spilling the beans... who else hacks?
A: Other than the typical crew you already know, such as Pushad, CBWhiz,
Lil Chris and Brax, there is just Oz from clan Mist, Korean from clan
GhostKorean, and Esprite from clan United that have, thru the
chain of hacker gossip, been 'hooked up' with 'hacks'. Of course,
there may be more. However, these are the only confirmed ones.
(And just kidding about Esprite, she's clean. She's hot, too!)
Q: What exactly is the deal with you, Oz/Envy, AyraVarwin, Korean, etc?
A: Oz used to be in my clan and a decently close friend, so he knew that
I had the abilitiy to program and do things such as powerlevel and
create 'Locust Plague'. Oz, through hanging out on my TeamSpeak,
spoke a lot with hackers such as Brax, which in turn, allowed Oz to be
'hooked up' with 'private trainers/hacks'. Varwin is just pissed
because I pawned her legitly, but since her ego is larger than all
of ours combined, she wants to blame it on hacks since she also knows
I have these abilities. Korean, I've discovered, is well-known for
'ping masking' and other network tricks to give himself an ungodly
advantage.
Q: Why did Oz get booted from your clan?
A: Unloyal. Doesn't keep his word. Lies. (even stupid stuff like saying
he's the GM of Ragnarok Online). Is always with Varwin. We don't like
Varwin. Found out about his private trainers. All that: he got cut.
(Can you say mutual masturbation over internet camera?).
Q: Do you think people are going to respect you for this?
A: Nope. Haha. If you know HolyForce, you know he doesn't care what you
think. He has his own agendas.
Q: I was deleted before the release of 'Locust Plague'. Did you delete me?
I'm pretty sure it was FunZ who deleted me!
A: Maybe, maybe not. My attacks were purely random. A lot of my personal
'enemies' have been deleted by Lil Chris, acting on his own free will.
Then again, some people Lil Chris has deleted, I've done powerleveled
back to their former glory.
Q: POWERLEVELED???
A: You heard me right. Stay tuned for more goodies from HolyForce in the
near future. (How do you think The Envy obtained Level 50+ Oz
overnight?)
Q: **HolyForce**... I have more to say to you, or questions for you. I'm very
happy/mad/upset/curious/pissed/etc with you. How can I contact you?
A: Right now I'm only offering AOL Instant Messenger as a source of contact.
But, you must guess my screen name. **Don't think too hard**. Haha.
Q: So do you quit GunZ? If you don't, or if you plan to come back, you now
have admitted to being FunZ! A hacker!
A: If you're too immature and ignorant to realize GunZ is already down ****
creek, you need to realize this actually helps. Nevertheless, no point in
playing with all the other hacks out in public.
Q: I don't want myself or my clan members getting deleted!
A: Become a clan leader. (ie, I'm HolyForce leader of clan HolyForce).
when a hacker closes your clan, sneak back on later to re-protect yourself.
Q: Alright HolyForce, I understand you. You play legit but hack under an
alternate name for the aforementioned motives. But do you really think this
is going to help better International GunZ?
A: Yes.
Q: Maybe this will help better International GunZ, but don't you think hitting
them a little closer to home would be more effective?
A: You mean KGunZ? Great minds think alike. Stay tuned.
Q: So what's the next step, HF?
A: The double quarter half step with double cheese and extra mayo. I mean,
that's up to MAIET... and you!
