Ugh, I posted this at digitallyevolved.net so I might as well post it here.

Every forum that Gunz hacks these days all are crammed fulll of system .mrs.Why? Because X-Trap(aka X-crap) can be easily tricked so that you can still use a system .mrs. Another reason is that system .mrs cant really be patched. One of the important reasons is because they are fun and east to edit/create.
However,since system .mrs are so easy to edit, many mistakes are made from editing the system .mrs. We have to expeirament to see if the changes made to the system .mrs are client sided or server sided. We have to see if the things WE edit can affect others.
Among the many system .mrs, there are many that are crammed full of "hacks" that are client sided meaning that the hacks are things that wont really affect people.
The reason I made this thread it because THIS THREAD can help mrs editors to avoid mistakes with their system .mrs.

Here are things that are client sided on a system .mrs

1) infinite bullets-adding more clip to ammo is useless because after the real amount of bullets shoot out, all the extra clips of bullets dont affect the opponent.(NOTE: this does seem to work on medkits/repair kits,Storms said it works on smoke grenades though..)

2)Required Lvls for Higher Lvl Weapons-this is useless because even if you edit the required lvl for a weapon , you still cant use the weapon(much less buy the weapon).

3)Prices-Samething as the required lvls for a weapon.Even if you reduce the price to 0 and u have 0 BP, you still cant buy the weapon using the price you set it to.

4)Range-you cannot change the range of a weapon. For example, if you edit the range on a dagger so you can stand 20 ft. away from someone and still be able to stab him, the effects will be useless. The opponent will not feel anything

5)Weight- you could edit the weight of an object so that it is weightless but it seems that weight is client sided. I'm not sure about the fact that you can take rings that increse weight and inscrese the extra weight that the ring gives.

6)Damage- this of coures is client sided and sorta is a downside to yourself. Even if you edit the rusty dagger to do 500 dmg the enemy will still get the regular damge of the rusty dagger.INSTEAD, you will get 500 dmg if he hits u with a rusty dagger.(NOTE: not entirely useless because you can always change the dmg to 0 so you wont get dmg on a particular weapon)

7)Delay- i'm not so sure about this one but OMGWTF said if you put 0 delay on weapons then only one hit will go through. Thundergo has said that even if you reduce the delay by alot (maybe in half) the weapon will shoot out normaly( NOTE: not really that useless, can still be useful)

8)Premium Items-these are useful because of the hp/ap bonuses and the looks but remember these are client sided.so when you see other ppl wearing premium clothes, that does not mean they are hacking....

9)Switching Melee/Range Id's-According to Thundergo, you cannot switch the id's of range weapon with a melee weapon. I have tried this by trying to to Ros(switching iron sword id with first rocket launcher(thus when u equip the rocket ,it looks like a sword)however, when i tried to equip iron sword or the rocket launcher, it said

"this weapon can not be armed"

Not really client sided but just something for you to know...

10)Names of Weapons- People have attempted this, i have too.This is not client sided but any name you edit in the strings .xml will not appear as the new name you have chose for it.(i.e. rusty sword to thundergo's sword.)

11)Changing the Cash on Premium Items - client sided(according to thundergo), you may change the cash value to something else but i think it will still take you to the cash website.

12)Changing Reload Times- (according to Thundergo, if you change the reload time, no bullets will come out...

13)Changing Items (literally)-(once again according to Thundergo), if you change like a ring into pants, your computer will freeze up


I'll looking forward to add more stuff to this list so if anyone finds something that i can add to this list , I'll be glad to.

This is useful though, all the forums are frekin spammed with useless client sided system .mrs
