Well, my friend has the VGC-RB53 Sony computer, and asked me if it was good for gaming. Honestly, I was clueless, because I lack knowledge in the Hardware section of computers, so I decided to ask you guys.

well its a turn off for gaming
u cant even play bioshock in it
get smth that can support crysis or a high graphic game
recommanded specs :
core 2 quad 2.4 ghz or core 2 duo 3.0 ghz
4 gb ram
nvidia geforce 8600gts or 8800gt or 9500 and if we has spear money ask him get 9800
a 500gb hdd wont hurt
just some edit : get a nice casing wid more cooling fans, a razor keyboard and mouse. some altec lansing speakers will do good wid a 28" LCD monitor.

Wow...One of the worst spec i seen  Walmart sells better machines then that >..>
If he wants a nice gaming pc with low cost.
Find a friend that able and willing to build a pc for him and with $500 it should give him a pretty good AMD machine.
