my home network is on router *Linksys WRT54G*, i had no problems with my desktop connecting to it, but for my laptop which i just brought a network card for, it doesnt work - theres this "cannot associate with access point" problem. i've tried googling, yes there were many other users with the same problem - but no answers. :<

umm just wondering if your lap top has wireless connection or wireless technology? Coz i also recently bought a Linkysys acess point but i don't know what model but my lap top internet works fine with my netgear router. Or if you have a toshiba lap top first my connection didn't work because i didn't turn on the wireless conection switch
