Does the power button not work at all when you try to restart it? Like... When you turn it on, do you get a feed in from your monitor or is it not turning on? And, what kind of monitor do you have? The kind where it boots up from the PS itself or what? If I'm not mistaken, you might have a faulty CPU/Heatsink connection. I've seen it happen before. Do this, go into bios, check your CPU temperature when you turn it on, and leave it at that screen... See what temperature it rises to. If it goes over 60, you're definately doing something wrong or your comp is overheating itself because of something that may have been altered. Since I'm not an extremely frequent user of these forums, message me on AIM (screenname is EIZFORME) and I'm pretty sure I can help you some more. Toodles!

Well you need to scan your computer, and there could be something in your computer that might be loose or not connected or set up right. And can you give us some more details so we can help you out as much as we can?
Thanks

Hey there tell me exactly what you do so I can further help you fix your problem to your computer. For example give a bit more detail
1. Push power button on computer.
2. Computer posts ups *you see the memory, hard drives, etc.*
3. Custom built or is it by like hp,gateway, etc.
4.Do you see the windows logo upon boot up?
5.Once you get to windows, do you see the desktop or does it restart before it gets there.
6. Do you have more than one operating system on your computer?
7.What service pack are you running 1 or 2? or none/basic?
If you can provide me this and whatever else you think you can add in, feel free to.
