if you over clock a "whatever" and it has really good cooling (a case of fans plus liquid) then it MIGHT operate at the same temperature as the same "whatever" in a poorly cooled enclosure then the lifespan SHOULD be the same
on topic:
you could try liquid cooling because "even though i dont know much about gpus" i dont think you could put a fan on there that would really cause a significant temperature decrease
