Looking at your dxiag, its showing me that you only have 1024mb of RAM, maybe you should upgrade your RAM first because a 3.06GHz is alright to me

the GA-8I848PM is a socket 478, which means you will have to look for processors that fit the socket designation. The bad news is, the best you will find is single-core Intel Prescott. Prescott is not bad, but you won't be able to get Core 2 Duos.
I checked Newegg, and they have a 3.0Ghz Prescott for $84 Newegg.com - Intel Pentium 4 3.0E Prescott 3.0GHz 1MB L2 Cache Socket 478 89W Single-Core Processor - OEM
As for you Ram, there is no need to upgrade.

I suggest getting a new computer, or upgrading your motherboard and PSU and RAM. Go for an ASUS motherboard if you're going to choose to upgrade, or just simply check out some market websites if you're after a new comp.

I would suggest saving up for an AMD motherboard and getting the AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200+ 2.6GHz It's smooth, delivers great performance, and is great with gaming.
