i suggest u dont eat protein bars or shakes.
its actually a urban myth that they work.
they do little of anything to help u.
better eat food with high protein count.

Just eat more meat and fish. they have high amounts of protein... The shakes dont realy work that well. they're just SUPPLEMENTS. Its not liek they are the "ubeR" shake that WILL give you musscle and help you lose weight by just drinking it.
Fact. You tend to lose Body fat more than you will GAIN muscle.

I don't think i agree, even though keeping a good diet is the foundation of good health, i've found taht additional protien, not overloading, but just taking the daily 100% or around there will definately help improve muscle developement.

Ohhhhhhh myyyyyyyy goddddd these people i swear...
Ok first off you need to eat around 1-2 grams of protein per body weight. So if you weight say 150 then eat around 150-300 grams of protein a day. Its better if you get it from food but these shakes work for wen you cant eat that much food and still need to pack the protein. Depending on wen you can take the protein should decide wat kind you buy. If you want one to take right after your workout than a fast digesting protein like whey works. If you want a slow digesting protein to drink overnight then casein is the kind for you. Theres other kinds of proteins to but these are what i take mainly. Please inform yourself before you start taking it and if you have any ?'s contact me.
As to where you can buy it try GNC or a supplement shop.
Best tasting would be Optimum 100% Whey Protein double rich choclate...thats just in my opinion i have been taking it for a while now.

If you're considering body building, then go to a local chemist and purchase whey protein powder.

I use muscle milk. Even if it does or doesn't work. It does something physiologically to me at least and I'm sure more people.
