World War One (sigh)

I have an assignment that is due in a few days, i normally do my own assignments without any help, but this time i really need it done quickly and when it comes to things involving the war I'm STUMPED.

Anyways, The assignment is about the WEAPONS of WW1. We have to write an essay that mainly answers these questions:

-What weapons was used in the war?
-Which country had better weapons? (and how did these weapons affect the outcome?)
-Did better weapons affect who won the war? (and why?)

And also basic information about the different weapons used.

Sorry for asking help with this, but like i said. I need this done very quickly, Sorry about the short notice and thank you so much for any help/advice.

for weapons, m1 garand, m1 carbine, thompson, k98 (or a.k.a. kar98), k43, mp40, stg44, BAR (browning automatic rifle) .30 cal, mg42, mg34, fg42, enfield, springfield. what day of defeat does to people

Don't forget the mustard gas.
That had to be the worst... And the grenade launchers used to fire them....
They made a little popping sound when fired.

The weapons that your teacher will more than likely want you to mention the most is the mustard gas. It played a massive role in the war. Also, dont forget the use of the new tanks of the time...Mark something tanks I believe...That and Britain had a large naval force that constantly attacked enemy merchant ships. Another route that you can go, to maybe earn a couple points in creativity would be that WWI was one of the first mass scale uses of the telephone and war planes. Not sure if this is too late or not but there you go.

To overcome the mustard gas they had to urinate on rags and hold them over their faces because the urine actually sterilized the gas and kept the soldiers from inhaling the toxins. The Germans had heavy artillery (machine gun turrets) and that forced the soldiers to move around threw trenches.
