Why change what works? The teacher writing notes on the board works for the majority of people. Changing the whole style of teaching just for a few bad eggs seems like a bad idea to me. I agree with teaching kids about global commerce as it will most likely benefit them in the future. I emphasize why change what already works, no matter what teaching style those who are unmotivated slobs will still fail.
