parallel lines have same slope such as 3/3 3/3
perpendicular lines have opposite recipricol slopes such as 3/4 -4/3
thats the biggest piece of advice i can give.

From what I remember, parallel lines have the same slope and perpendicular lines slopes are opposite of each other (positive to negative), meaning if you divide one slope by another, it'll be -1.
This is from what I remember, I'm pretty rusty on it.
