This is called "Rock Box", and is an extremely INTENSE and insanely awesome mod for the iPod, and many other mp3 players.
It's pretty simple, and its really cool.
Learn to play simple PC games on your iPod!
All you need to do is go to Rockbox - Open Source Jukebox Firmware, and you will find the "current builds", find your model, and follow the manual.
I put this on my dying iPod, and it made it 2x better.
Too bad it is in hell right now.
But, it was nice while it lasted!
Games such as:
Blackjack
Brickmania
Solitaire
Snake
Minesweeper
And many, many more.

Yes its a custom firmware, but it has more features than the norm.
And you won't see the normal screen layout either - its different.
