Well you may have noticed this new button found in posts which is called 'Text to Speech'
Well I thought it would be neat to trial something unique and different here on GzN, so here it is, text to speech ^^ It does exactly that. It will convert any text you type and convert it to speech. Pros: - saves you reading long posts.
- suitable for lazy people lol
- good for people who are blind or not the best readers (maybe ^^)
Cons: - voice is not always the clearest
- people who do not type in proper English will affect how well the speech is read
- sometimes the voice is quite fast
- not suitable for all posts, as it is faster to just read most posts lol
Well I am going to be trialling different voices, different services and basically just experimenting with things. Feedback is welcome.

| Yeah, thats going to be a problem, as more often than not, people on here type fairly distorted English... lol (and i want to see the pronunciation of "lol" and "rofl" haha)

A little update. I have found a new system which has a really good voice which is not monotone. I need to find out more info on it, but it looks promising.

However its quite good though. It can turn most of the text to speech pretty well. Unless for those who do not type in proper English. |
