This guide does not downgrade your PSP to 1.50, it installs 3.71 M33 to your PSP.

In this tutorial, you will make a universal downgrader that will downgrade/unbrick your PSP Fat or Slim to 3.71 M33-2.

*Please be aware that the following Pandora battery and memory stick are different than the one for the fat*

Requirements:
- PSP that is able to run hombrew (3.X OE/M33) Fat and Slim both work
- Memory Stick PRO DUO (at least 128MB)
- PSP Battery (PSP-110, PSP-280) DO NOT USE SLIM BATTERY
- Pandora files (Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!)
- EBOOTS 1.50, 3.40, 3.71 (Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!)
- Desepertar del Cementerio 3 (Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!)
- Open Source Battery Tool 0.2 (Send big files the easy way. Files too large for email attachments? No problem!)

Creating the Magic Memory Stick
BACK UP THE FILES ON YOUR MEMORY STICK BEFORE DOING THE BELOW INSTRUCTIONS, AS IT WILL ERASE EVERYTHING ON YOUR MEMORY STICK.
1) Make sure you have your kernel set at 3.X. To check this, go in Recovery Mode by holding your PSP power button for 4 seconds when it's on, and then turn it back on while holding R. Go in Configuration and make sure the kernel is set at 3.X and not 1.50
2) Connect your PSP to your computer via. USB Cable
3) Extract the pandora .rar file to C:\
4) Go in your DOS, Start > Run > CMD A black window should pop out.
5) Type: CD C:\pandora then hit enter. Then type "cd mspformat" and hit enter. Then type mspformat X (X for the drive of your memory stick, so for example if my memory stick is located on H:\, I would type mspformat H) Hit Y and then enter. Wait for a second or two until it finishes moving the partition.
6) Reconnect your USB connection. Everything in your memory stick should be gone including PSP folders. Now create a folder named PSP and inside that folder create a folder named GAME.
7) Extract the despertar_cementerio3 .rar file on your desktop. Copy the folder named despertar_cementerio folder into your GAME folder.
8) Extract the EBOOTS.rar and the files should be titled 150.PBP, 340.PBP, 371.PBP If the titles are correct, copy these files unto the ROOT of your memory stick which should be in X:\ (X for the drive of your memory stick)
9) Exit USB mode and go to your Game menu and launch the application "Despertar del Cementerio"
10) Follow the instructions. When you've finished installing, connect your PSP back to your computer and copy the file named "msipl.bin" in the root of your memory stick to the "msinst" folder from the extracted pandora files.
11) Launch the DOS again, and type the following: CD C:\pandora\msinst and then msinst and then type msinst X msipl.bin Press Y then enter. If the process was successful, you would see Write MS BOOT CODE which means you have just converted your memory stick into a Magic Memory Stick.

Converting PSP battery to Pandora Battery
1) Extract Open Source Battery Tool 0.2.rar Copy the folder "ospbt" to your GAME folder on your memory stick.
2) Exit the USB connection and go to your Game menu and launch "Pandora Battery Tool 0.2"
3) Four options should appear on the screen which are:

Convert to normal mode (0x12345678)
Convert to service mode (aka: Pandora's battery)
Convert to autoboot mode (0x00000000)
Backup battery eeprom to ms0:/eeprom.bin)

4) Choose the Backup battery eeprom to ms0:\eeprom.bin option. Then, choose the Convert to service mode (aka: Pandora's battery) option. MAKE SURE YOU'RE NOT DOING THIS ON A SLIM BATTERY
5) After you've finished with the conversion, you now have the Pandora's battery and the Magic Memory Stick which can be used to unbrick/downgrade a PSP Slim or Fat.

How to unbrick/downgrade your PSP Slim/Fat
1) Make sure your PSP is shut off. Insert the Magic Memory Stick.
2) Insert the Pandora's battery. Your PSP should now turn on.
3) Press X to install 3.71 M33-2 unto your PSP.
4) When you've finished flashing your PSP, MAKE SURE YOU PRESS X TO SHUT OFF THE PSP.
5) When the PSP shuts off, remove the Pandora's battery and replace it with a normal PSP battery and your PSP should now be in 3.71 M33-2.

If you read carefully, it should see that it will downgrade the PSP Slim, which the thread I posted before couldn't.

Thanks but last time i downgraded I bricked my psp. Luckly I had a warrenty and got it exchanged (saying it came like that lol) at the time all psps came with 1.50 so i just didnt update to a new FW. Highest FW iv ever been to was 2.71 with my first PSP. All I really do with my 1.50 one is play FF7, FFTactics.. and GTA LCS (with hax) and GTA VCS (with hax). The only bad thing is my Mem stick is 1gb so if I wanna play FF7 i have to remove everything off it and when I want to play something else that isnt a UMD or watch a video I have to put it all back on. Also to play the newer games with 1.50 you have to have a FW emulator.

Since you already had the 1.50 firmware, you coulda just installed a custom firmware such as 3.52 M33-4 and then upgrade to 3.71 M33-2.
