This Thread is Made to Ensure NO ONE from now on makes threads asking what is RIS and RSS etc. and whats the difference between them and so on. I hope to explain the major differences between the games and information about each kind, but feel free to tell me if anything I missed could be added on (not relating to hacking, but General Information about each Version).

What does RIS, RLS, RKS, and RSS Stand for?

RIS = Rakion International Server
RLS = Rakion Latin Server
RKS = Rakion Korean Server
RSS = Rakion Sea Server

RIS, RLS, and RKS are all servers owned and run by Softnyx.
RSS is a server that is owned and run by Mobius.

What the Main Difference between Softnyx's Rakion and Mobius' Rakion?

Softnyx covers RIS, RLS, and RKS meaning if you play RIS, RLS, or RKS (all the same just different Rakion.bin/launcher clients) then you all follow the same rules, and similar events (etc.) and payment options. Mobius owns the RSS Server(s) which mean they have control over the rules, events (etc.) that they do for RSS players.


So is Softnyx's Rakion Generally the same as Mobius' Rakion?

For the most part Softnyx's Rakion is the Same to Mobius', but besides some files that are different, the game play is for the most part the same, except that Mobius if I'm correct has an Auction/Trade option which allows people to trade cells (etc.) for other Items/Gold/Money with other people.


Why do some Hacks Not Work for RIS, RLS, RKS, and RSS?

Since RIS, RLS, and RKS are all servers and clients under Softnyx, meaning that all of their files are similar in design (not necessarily the same addresses) but design for where some information for items are where and why. This is why hacks for Softnyx's Rakion Client may not work for RSS's Rakion Client because not only does Softnyx's have some more own in game files checks that Mobuis' may not have, but in addition to that Softnyx has new items before Mobuis gets the file information and is able to add them into their game.


Whats the Difference between Softnyx's RIS, RLS, and RKS?

If you read above you know that Softnyx owns the RIS, RLS, and RKS Servers and Clients. RIS is a server best for people in USA, Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. RIS Client is in English (buttons, channels etc.). RLS deals with Mexico and South America. RLS Client is in Spanish (buttons, channels etc.). RKS deals with specifically the source of Rakion Korea (not sure but I think its South Korea). RKS Client is in Korean (buttons, channels etc.).

These three Clients are based on these locations because of the common language they share and within the servers it has channels that help organize people based on their areas that way people have better chances of playing Rakion with people with similar pings/close to you (for all 3 clients the channels/rooms are the same).

Sometimes (really rarely) Softnyx does events for RIS or RLS or RKS and doesn't do the same event for the other clients (usually based on Region/Country). An example of this is the Gold Event only people with South Korean as their country (couldn't translate but might have been on the Korean Softnyx link site) would be able to have the event. I'm not sure, and don't think this is true, but I heard some countries didn't get the Recommender Event last year (rumor probably not true).

Another Difference between RIS, RLS, and RKS is not only the language things are written in, but also the type of language that you can write in. If I'm correct you can Type in English for all Clients and Channels, but in RIS and RLS you can type in Korean in the Korean Channel, but the RKS can type in Korean in any Channel (if I'm correct), unless you use the IME thing in Sacrifices Window Mode. I'm not sure but in South America Channel you maybe able to type certain letters with accents or special characters, but using the RLS Client you maybe able to type these letters/characters in any channel.


There are 4 Clients for Rakion I WANT THEM ALL!

For some people like me who use more than one Rakion Client (test or other reasons etc.) you can download all four of the download clients. If you download the RIS, RLS, or RKS Install File it will create a Folder called Softnyx in the C Drive under Program Files and then it will have a Sub-folder within the Softnyx folder which is called Rakion. Now if you want all 3 RIS, RLS, and RKS Clients on your computer I recommend that you do what I do. I installed all the Clients on my computer creating the C:/Program Files/Softnyx/Rakion 3 times which once I finished the installation I moved the Softnyx Folders in seperate locations. When you run the RIS Launcher you need to have the RIS Softnyx Folder in the C:/Program Files/Softnyx, and the same method works for RLS, and RKS, so make sure if you want to use another Rakion Client use the correct Softnyx folder (some Clients sometimes have different patches/information that is slightly different from the other clients).

If you Have one or more Softnyx's Clients on your computer and you want an RSS Rakion Client on your computer just install the RSS install file and then it will create the Folder Rakion within Mobius in the C:/Program Files/Mobius/Rakion.

Note: You can't play the Same Softnyx account you have on RSS unless you perminitely transfer it over to RSS.


So if Softnyx owns Rakion why does Mobius have RSS?

Mobius bought rights from Softnyx to create their own server for players in their area so that they can not only make money, but run the servers that may be more convient to people in their area. They are pretty much a source of distribuation from Softnyx since they never bought the offical full rights from Softnyx, but the right to set up their own server using their game client.


I like Softnyx better than Mobius Do I have to play RSS?

For the most part the transfers of Softnyx Rakion Accounts to Mobius Rakion Accounts are already over and done, BUT for new Rakion players they don't have to play RSS if they don't want to, but instead they can play RIS/RLS/RKS instead because they may like it better or w/e. Once you create an account for Softnyx Rakion you are allowed to play either RIS, RLS, or RKS. Unlike ijji with it's GBNA you aren't forced to transfer that new Softnyx account you made to Mobuis based on IP (if I'm correct). If you live in those areas Mobius covers it isn't required to play Mobius's Rakion.


Why do some People Play Mobius' Rakion instead of Softnyx's Rakion?

Mobius may have better things/offers/service/servers that Softnyx may not have and that are recommended and are closer to the users in the area which results in people having lower pings to other people near then. Mobius covers Indonesia, Philippines, Malaysia, and Singapore. Mobius also offers prepaid cards or cash in stores and other options that are closer and more convient for it's players in those countries.

RSS is not owned by Mobius. They just bought the distribution rights. Mobius just RUNS RSS, they don't own it -.-... Here, I'll continue.

RSS server is more under-developed. RKS is the most advanced Rakion server so far. RLS is on tie with RIS. RSS just had an update including the map Underground and Eight Arenas. RSS is designed for South East Asia, while RLS is for South America, and RKS is for Korea and Japan. There is another server designed only for China, so we will refer to that as RCS (LMAO! Rakion: Counter-Strike). RCS is on par with RSS and their GameGuard versions vary

RIS and RKS anrn't that much of a difference. Its just the in-game language. Guess what... RKS is in Korean and RIS is english, no advanced things at all.

yea rks is much more advanced in my opinion. All free games in the world like Rakion, if made in Korea, are died down for English International versions.

u know i never knew about RKS, i thought korean people all played softnyx's server, because from what i heard softnyx bought the full rights from netmarble.

2nd thing. i dont think u can type in korean in korea's server in RIS, from what i remember i still saw english words being typed in there. of course, they're character codes to type korean but i dont think its worth mentioning. im not too good with the alt codes.

3rd thing. is Singapore's server still on in RIS? someone please check it for me. from what i saw in mobius' notice i was told that RIS' singapore server was closed.

4th thing. if the 3rd thing is opened, can someone please tell me how to migrate back to RIS? i'm kinda sick of the crappy mobius. spikeman if u played RSS, u should know what i mean. crap servers for the 'convienient' countries. u know, in RIS i never had a spike worse than 1200ms, but in RSS i could spike up to 8682ms. WTF.

5th thing, and off-topic as well. spikeman u mind stickying my newbies FAQ in strategy section, as welll as my secret techniques? think they're good enough to be stickied. oh, please help in the newbies FAQ because i cant edit after 3 days.

There is no way you could go back to RIS.
I play RSS to..the server sucks..
I emailed a message to softnyx team to ask how to migrate back to RIS.
They say there is no way to migrate back to RIS.
