It all depends on the amount of RAM you have.
I have 1 GB of ram and i have a somewhat close to 100kbps connection (DSL or Cable) And i get BARELY and lag. Except for when i return scroll back to DW or Hotan, then i just hold "x" X removes all the other player models and such so less things to load.

100kilobits or 100kilobytes... 100kilobytes is sorta like dsl and 100kilobits is 2x dial up, which is possible, but I dont think so because you would have to download everything happening from the game realtime, and upload back what you're doing. (I remember playing GunBound on dial up xD) Took 6 hours to dl + patch.

I used to play silkroad with 250 kilobits per second or somethin close to that, And I could play without any problems.

Connection lag and fps / screen lag are two different things, bud. (:

even if you have the BEST connection EVER, that doesn't mean crap if you dont have a good amount of ram.
