Okay, first of all, i am using cinema 4d Release 9. The interface references that i speak about are all relative to the Release 9 interface. And this has a couple of big screens, so warning to 56kers, i'm still learning how to make good screenshots.
1. Make a basic sphere shape by going Object>primitive>sphere.
Make it editable by hitting "c" on your keyboard.
2. Grab your magnet tool by pressing structure>magnet. Drag parts of your sphere out to make a wonky shape. Don't make it symmetrical.
3. Make your render display its polygons by hitting the 7th button down on the `left` hand side of the interface. Then go structure>matrix extrude. This is a vital part of render making. On the `right` hand side the matrix extrude settings should appear. Change these numbers around, experiment. Then click "apply"
4. Now if you have an okay looking shape, like the one i have in step 3, it time to add some deformers. Click and hold the orange button in the top `right` hand corner and a small box should pop up. Click on one and the settings should appear where the matrix extrude settings did. But first, in the top `right` hand box, drag your deformer into the name of your base shape. That will apply the deformer. The deformers i used where explosion, explosion fx, bend and bulge.
Mine didn't turn out that great, but i made this perspective effect using camera angles, which i'll cover in a later tutorial.
Always experiment with different deformers and numbers, they can make a big difference to your render. By masterchief117 |

you can use this method for making cool renders = D and even brushes if you wanted to = D but its more sick for abstract sigs and making your own render is cool = D

Nice tutorial, simple but effects are sweet. I might use this to make sweet objects for sigs.
