For some reason i dont know i am starting this thread about ps2 and a hard drive. I just knew it recently(damn! what took me so long?) that you can put a variety of things on that extra memory like backing up games, putting music, pictures, programs, and emulators.
knowing that it can run some programs made me have an idea.....
what if you can run PS3 os on PS2? (of course emulator)
dont you think it will be good enough to run another console on your ps2?
of course discs of different consoles wont read but you have a hard drive right?
you will have a lot of ways of putting games on your hd!
So what do you guys think?

Not possible due to the PS2's graphical capabilities.
In other words, The PS3 has far more advanced graphics that the PS2 won't be able to handle & display.
Although ironically the PS1 can play PS2 Games :P

Adding hard drives to PS its old, i did it with my ps1 long ago, if u know how, u can even install your fav games to it so u can hit someone with the cd, lol.

Yea,. PS3 is using blue ray,. which cant detect by PS2

Although... will be extremly usefull some tutorials about how to install hdd in playstation2, how to use HDLoader / HDAdvance , how to format HDD, how to dumb games in hdd, how to ... 
Also agree that just by googleit we can find a lot of helpful stuff too 
[ Edit] Anybody has an updated compatibility games list of HDAdvance 3.0 please ?
