i need help with a log in system. so that people have to log into my program and i can make tons of accounts so every one has there own log in.

You would then need a database that people could connect to for their logins.

Or you can have each of the login name and passwords inside the Exe file itself.

I'm not that good with that, but to make a database for logins, it would most likely have to be online. Try finding vb guides for MySQL or Microsoft SQL Server Express. Or you can do what sean does with his hacks. He handmakes licenses from a HWID.

hmmm i got login system to work thanks here is what im doing making a program that when teachers put in grades for students they open this program and updates it with newest grades with each person and what we can do is dl my program on school site and log in with our school login and check our grades same with parents that can also leave notes on it for us kids so we can view them when we log in and will have quick e-mail so parents can e-mail teachers and stuff. and as time passes the program will auto update.

heres what i think is the easiest way to do it:

PHP Would be easiest because it can easily connect to a database and update information. It's also more convient for students and teachers to use because they will only have to visit a website.

With programs, you would have to open a connection to a server where all the information is stored, then you have to use that connection to find store login names and be able to return information.

You've GOTS TO LEARN SOME MYSQL! :O

if you are accessing database make sure that the teachers and principle give you an available host with MySQL database so you can create tables and insert your student ids and stuff in it.
