hey guys, first off, i wanna let you know that i dont have the money to pay for the 15$ a month for this game, and my parents deffinitly wont help me out. =l

so im wondering, would buying this game, then just playing on a private server(s) still be fun?....and btw, im still not sure if i have to pay a monthly fee for private servers.....
i was thinkin of buying the bundle(to play as the blood elves and stuff), but im not sure it its worth it if im only gonna play on the private servers-

uh, if u dig deep enough im sure u can download world of warcraft and tbc off the internet, u need something like bittorrent or limewire to do that, then just update it to the latest patch and ur set, private servers dont cost money, but u can choose to donate, i would suggest to play on retail since the gameplay is a lot smoother and better than private servers, but since u cant afford for it then private servers would be a great choice for u

so can i do this?
-change my account to not pay the monthly fee
-then go on a private surver

can i still use my character on the private server, and will i lose anything if i do it?

private server is completely separated from retail, u have to visit their website to register, then use that account to play on their private server, they have instructions on how to play on their server

but all u have to do is go in ur world of warcraft folder and find something called realmlist.wtf

and copy the realmlist from the private server u have selected to that file/notepad then save, after about 10 min when ur private server account is ready then u can log on and play, most private servers r instant 70, that means that either u log on and ur a lvl 70 or u have to kill a monster to get to 70

Private servers are free but it has less players and people that donate get RIGGED items.

also with private severs get more exp when u kill monsters i think.
