Madden NFL 09 is the 2009 edition of the American football video game series published by EA Sports and developed by EA Tiburon. It is currently in production. It will be the 20th installment in the Madden NFL video game franchise. The game was confirmed for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Portable, Wii, Xbox 360 and Xbox consoles. There will not be a PC version of Madden NFL 09. The Wii version of the game is titled Madden NFL 09 All-Play and will be launched under EA Sports’ new All-Play brand exclusive to the platform.

EA Sports has announced details of the 20th Anniversary Collector’s Edition of Madden NFL 09. It will include NFL Head Coach 09, exclusive classic Madden gameplay, and bonus video content. A demo of the game has been released on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network. The release date for the single version and the anniversary package have been set for August 12, 2008.
