First off, you need these following system requirements:

After complying the initial requirements, download the CS source code. Go to drive C: of your My Computer and create a folder, name it HDLS. Any other name will do but let us just use this classic example.

 

Open your downloaded CS Creation files, choose CS Server Creator, and hit HLDS as your file installation directory. The server components will be downloaded and installed by your installer in the installation directory. This will take a while depending on your internet connection.

If your server aims to allow non-steam players, you have to patch it through the swds.dll in your downloaded file. Execute the .exe and choose the HLDS file directory.

 

Create a shortcut of hlds.exe that is located in your HLDS directory on your desktop and execute it. This is the part where you can edit your server name; port and RCON password choose maps.

-autoupdate : This will instantly update the server when STEAM issues their updates.

-console: for console mode

+maxplayersallowable quantity of players you wanted to participate

-game: the HLDS mod you want to run

+map the map at which the server will begin with

-portIf you use the default port 27015, you may leave it be.

-ip- for multiple IP users wanting to assign certain IP for the server

To add to the already incredible and awesome gaming experience, install plugins to your server. However, be sure to know what you're doing or you'll end up messing your server.
