MS may have finally put a stop the long-drawn-out murmurs of a possible Blu-ray device for their Xbox 360 console, following the demise of the HD-DVD format.

Microsoft gaming vice president of business Shane Kim has spoken on the matter to Forbes: "I can categorically say that we’re not working on a Blu-Ray player for Xbox 360," he says. "To my knowledge, we don’t have any intent to do that."

Of course, we emphasize the "may" becuase this is after Shame Kim, who has been known, from time to time, to have absolutely no clue what the hell he’s talking about (I’m sure you remember his famous RE 5 bludner).

There you have it. It’s time to return the VHS. Who’s with me?
